1938-1951 China's Children Fund founded
1938 - China's Children's Fund is founded by Dr. J. Calvitt Clarke to provide food, shelter and education to children orphaned by the Sino Japanese conflict. Many children were near starvation and living on the streets. CCF orphanages offered stability and hope through the unique concept of child sponsorship. Later, orphanages are also set up on the Korean peninsula.
