ABOUT Alem

Alem and her family have suffered extreme poverty and hardship. She was born in Harar, a small village, at the Eastern part of Shoa Administrative Region from a needy Orthodox Christian family and belongs to Amhara ethnic group. Her parents both passed away after she was born therefore she lives with her grand mother. Her grand mother is retired and is on pension. The annual income of the guardian is less than 400 USD. She cannot afford clothing, school supplies and other basic necessities for the child. After a long struggle, she learnt and sought for assistance from this project with education and other needs for the child. Alem is a healthy and friendly child who is in elementary school. Her favorite academic subject is Amharic language. She enjoys playing with age mates. Your kind and loving sponsorship will mean a blessing to this needy child.
