Bell Tea sponsoring futures

Iconic New Zealand company Bell Tea sponsors eight children in developing countries like Kenya, Timor Leste and Sri Lanka. Children like nine-year-old Kapurua who lives in Kenya, a country famous for the quality of its tea and coffee.

On a recent work trip to Kenya, Bell Tea’s Master Tea Taster Matt Greenwood visited Kapurua in the rural township of Emali.

“All the sponsored children in Emali are sponsored by New Zealanders and it was touching to see the New Zealand flag and map hanging in the Emali project office.

"Being able to see for myself the good work ChildFund is doing was eye-opening. A big highlight was meeting Kapurua who told me that he likes football and wants to be a teacher when he grows up.

"I have travelled the world for 20 years and this visit was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had,” says Matt.

ChildFund New Zealand CEO Paul Brown says that Bell Tea’s support is helping not only Kapurua but an entire community access clean water, food, education and healthcare.

“For Bell Tea to sponsor eight children around the world is a truly generous gift and one that means so much to their sponsored children and their families. Together Bell Tea and ChildFund are helping children break free of poverty.”

Thank you Bell Tea!
