There are 190,000 children under 5 years of age in Timor-Leste, and 58% of these children are stunted. These undernourished children have an increased risk of mortality, illness and infections, delayed development, cognitive deficits, poorer school performance, and fewer years in school. ChildFund teaches both mothers and fathers to understand about the importance of good nutrition and how to provide the right foods for growing children.
