The Competition & Organisers
This competition (the "Competition") is open to residents of New Zealand aged 18 or over. This competition is organised by ChildFund New Zealand (the "Organiser").
Registering & Entering
To enter the competition, you and a friend (the “Entrants”) must submit the entry form (“Registering”) provided by email following the selection of a sponsored child through Organiser’s website (www.childfund.org.nz). All Entrants confirm their acceptance of these terms and conditions by Entering the Competition.
Entrants take part in the Competition as a pair and the Prize for the winner is A TRIP FOR TWO PEOPLE TO VISIT THE COMMUNITY WHERE THE SPONSORED CHILDREN LIVE ("The Prize"). There is 1 Prize, and so there will be 1 Winning Pair. The Prize includes international travel (economy class flights from AKL airport to one of the communities listed in “Entry Guidelines and Eligibility” below), 5 days meals and accommodations, and tour arrangements but excludes tourist visas, vaccinations and travel insurance required to travel to the countries detailed in the Prize. Additional tourist activities can be organised at the expense of the Winning Pair. Any other expenditure items not detailed within these Terms and Conditions will be the responsibility of the Winning Pair.
Competition Dates and Minimum Entry
The opening date for receipt of entries to the Competition is 1 July 2019 and the closing date for receipt of entries to the Competition is 31 December 2019.
Entry for the Competition must meet a minimum of 100 in order for the Prize to be drawn. In cases where the Organiser has received less than 100 Entrants by 31 December, 2019, the Competition dates will be extended.
Entry Guidelines and Eligibility
Both entrants must have a sponsored child within ONE of the four dedicated communities where ChildFund New Zealand works: Emali Kenya, Batticaloa Sri Lanka, Luangwa Zambia or Cao Bang Vietnam. To confirm the community where your sponsored child lives, please contact us on 0800 808 822 or email@example.com.
Both entrants must have a sponsored child within the same community (as detailed above).
Publicity of Entrants and Winners
By entering the Competition, Entrants give ChildFund New Zealand permission to share their story for advertising and publicity purposes.
By accepting the Prize, the Winners agree to the use of their Photographs by the Organiser for advertising and publicity purposes ad infinitum and without any compensation. In addition, winners will be requested by the Organiser to provide the Organiser with high quality and high resolution images from the Prize they won, for on-going use by the Organiser for publicity and promotional purposes.
The Prize and Date of Travel
The Prize cannot be transferred to anyone else and cannot be redeemed for cash value or alternative travel arrangements. The prize is subject to availability and date of travel is to be coordinated for a time convenient for ChildFund’s country offices.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Prize Draw if any fraud, technical failures, human error or any other factor independent from the Organiser impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Prize Draw, as determined by Organiser in its sole discretion. The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Prize Draw or to be acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
