I take both of my sisters to school on the bicycle. We start at 6am and get to school at 7:30am. Before, walking it takes 3 hours. We would have to start at 5am. We used to be very tired when we got to school. My sisters would cry because it was too far."

Nurmala says "I also use the bike when my mother gives me some work to do – going to the shop and to get water. Otherwise we have to walk 1 hour to get water."

"My favourite subject at school is maths. I like to play sports like cricket. When I grow up I want to be a teacher.”
