ChildFund New Zealand’s Sally Hewlett is in Zambia. She sent us a quick note:

Dear Team
I’ll write quickly as we have been without power for 2 days, and it is likely to go again any second… Just to say everyone sends there warm greetings and appreciation from Luangwa.

The area here is cut off in many ways – the road is difficult now – in the rainy season it is impassable. The team work tirelessly to reach our sponsored children – some having to cycle up to 20kms to access the enrolled families! ChildFund is the only NGO here, and ChildFund New Zealand is certainly well appreciated here.

More later, but just to know we are doing great work here….but have a long way to go!

All the Best,
Sally, the Luangwa team, the elephants, hippos and crocodiles!
