Cody Yerkovich is a contestant in this year’s Miss World NZ pageant. She’s eighteen and hails from Northland. Cody chose to support ChildFund because her grandparents have sponsored children through ChildFund for years. Growing up, Cody felt that those sponsored children were a part of her family, too.

I visited the rehearsal last Saturday to take some photos and I can tell you the choreography had my head spinning! We thought we’d give Cody a chance to let you know how the run up to the pageant is going.

A great training for Miss World NZ this weekend at the Ellerslie Bowling Club. As we are a few weeks into training now there is a little more pressure but I am having an amazing experience at the same time 🙂

While at rehearsals I met Frances, a photographer with the NZ Womans Weekly. Kiri from ChildFund New Zealand was there also taking photos for the website and this blog post! [Kiri: my photos are nowhere near as good as those taken by Frances.]

We went through choreography with Brian as usual covering catwalk, evening gown, and dance rehearsals. I am looking forward to training next weekend and will be sure to keep you updated!

Cody 🙂

Thanks Cody and thank you for your continued support. We wish you all the best!!
