As a young nation, Timor-Leste faces many challenges, including a small job market which proves especially difficult for young people to enter. Thanks to your support, young people now have the support they need to train for successful careers or to start their own businesses.

Last year, 61 young people graduated from training schemes - preparing them for work in the construction, agriculture, tourism or hospitality industries - and a further six groups of young people received grants to start their own businesses.

In addition to this, support from kind Kiwis has helped rehabilitate four youth centres where young people come to learn, socialise and host events.

Thank you for equipping the young people of Timor-Leste with the skills and confidence they need to be job-ready!
